Did someone order a slightly overwhelmed creative who loves iced coffee, indie books, and helping writers find their magic?
Pull up a chair, friend—you’re in the right place.
Hey I’m Victoria
Writer, editor, creativity coach & professional story untangler.
I’m the heart behind Victoria Jane Editorial and Book Shop Chats—a space built for writers who crave more clarity, more confidence, and a little less perfectionism in their creative lives.
As a developmental editor, I help writers shape their drafts into powerful, heart-grabbing stories. I specialize in story structure, character arcs, and making sure your novel hits readers right in the feels—without losing your unique voice in the process.
As a creativity coach, I support sensitive, neurodivergent, and burnt-out writers who feel stuck, scattered, or spiralling in self-doubt. Whether you’re mid-draft, returning to your story after a long break, or still figuring out what you want to say—I’m here to help you find your way back to the joy of creating on your terms.
Right now, I’m working on my debut rom-com, With You I Glow—a heartfelt, anxiety-soaked love story about Elle, who finds herself in Ireland navigating grief, identity, and unexpected beginnings (plus a swoony love interest, obviously).
Whether you're a writer in need of compassionate support or a reader searching for your next favourite romance, my goal is to make this space feel like a creative exhale.
When I’m not editing or knee-deep in a fictional scene, you’ll find me wandering cozy bookstores on the West Coast of Canada, ice coffee in hand, and dreaming up new ways to help writers find their magic again.

If we work together
Here are the vibes you can expect
This is a judgment-free zone.
Messy drafts, half-finished ideas, and tangled plot threads are welcome here. You don’t have to have it all figured out—we’ll find the story together.I believe in creative seasons, not constant output.
Rest is part of the process. If you’re burnt out, stuck, or spiralling in self-doubt, we’ll work with that—not against it.
You’ll get honest, compassionate feedback.
I’ll cheer for your strengths and offer suggestions on areas to improve —because your story deserves to shine (and so do you).I only offer developmental editing.
Big-picture, heart-of-your-story support. No grammar, no copyedits—trust me it’s not my zone of genius.
I don’t edit AI-generated fiction.
I’m here for the human stuff—the soul, the nuance, the vulnerability that only you can bring to the page.I work best with heart-first writers.
If you’ve poured your truth, your authentic voice and your weird little obsessions into your story—then you’re my kind of person.
